If you are local to the Huntsville/Madison area, we will set up a presentation day to see your full suite and pick up your items.

If you opt for mailing services, you will receive a full suite in the mail and we will handle the rest from there!

presentation day

We will work through the revisions process and after final sign off, your designs are off to our trusted print partners. Once we receive your paper goods, we will set up our wrap up meeting.

revisions & sign off

During onboarding, we will gather the initial information needed and meet to discuss the specific details of your project. During this step we will go over your mood board and all design aspects, that will help us develop your first proof.

Initial Design

Within two weeks, you will receive your initial design renderings. From here we will start the revisions process and make adjustments to achieve your paper vision. Each of our DCP brides receive two revisions.

Kickoff

You will receive a personalized proposal with all of the details regarding your paper goods. This is when you will select from package options. Once your contract has been signed and initial deposit paid, your project will be secured on our calendar.

Proposal & Contract

During our first call we will discuss your wedding vision and get to know each other a bit. We encourage you include your wedding planner anytime during the design process. I will walk you through the custom design process and we will discuss next steps! After our call we will send over some fun questions to fill out about your paper.

Discovery Call

Submit your inquiry and within 24 hours we will be in touch with our availability for a discovery call.

Our custom process is approximately 3 months from start to finish. We recommend you are on our calendar 6 to 8 months prior to your in-hand date so we can get your save the dates in the mail on time.

Our white glove process

a brides Guide

It is recommended that your invitation suites are sent out at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding and Save the Dates 6 months prior to your big day.

For full suites which include Save the Dates, it's recommended you reach out to us at least 9 months prior to your wedding date. Majority of our DCP brides reach out to us 9-12 months prior to their wedding date.

Here at Dear Caroline Paper, we prioritize our client experience. Therefore, we only take on a select number of custom suite projects a year, that way we can devote an appropriate amount of time to each of our clients.

How many invitation Suites do i need to order?

What sizes are included in each suite?

We like to use the "household" rule. Which means, count up how many households are invited versus people invited. ex: 100 guests would be roughly 30-50 suites vs. 100 suites. See what we mean? Don't worry, this question will come up a few times.

Our base Suites offer the typical sizes for each card included. We offer plenty of upgrades like die cuts, non-traditional sizes, etc. Inquire to get more info on our paper sizes!

Save the Dates: A6 (4.5x6.25)
Main Invitation: A7 (5x7)
Reply Card: 4Bar (3.5x4.875)
Detail card: A2 (4.25x5.5)
Envelop Liners: A7
Response Card Envelopes: 4Bar
Response Card Address Printing
Main Envelope Address Printing

We recommend you start your process for invitations 9-12 months prior to your wedding date. We also recommend that your Save the Dates go out 6 months before your wedding date as well. Are you past this time frame? No worries, send an email to dearcarolinepaper@gmail.com and we will talk it through.

When should i order my invitations?

What if i am using a calligrapher for my envelope addressing?

Not a problem at all! Although I am good with a paint brush, calligraphy is just not in my wheelhouse and I am content with that! What we will do is, take out the price of guest addressing. Simple as that! I highly recommend sourcing a calligrapher if you are not experienced with handwriting. If you are unsure of how your want your addressing to be done, no worries. This can be discussed closer to print time.

How many Changes do i get to make to my design?

For our process, you will get a few opportunities to make some changes.  First, we will look over the basic sketches. At this time, nothing is set in stone and we can play around with the layout. Once the initial sketch is confirmed you will get 2 revisions during the design process. This is when fonts can change, verbiage, and font colors. I cannot stress enough, that speaking up during the design revisions is important! After your 2 revisions any changes will require a charged fee that is calculated based on the extent of the change.

Can i just purchase one thing for my wedding paper?

Frequently asked Questions

For our custom suites, I only offer the suites in full. Meaning, I will design everything and print everything first. Want to put your crest and/or venue illustration on just about everything for your wedding day? You can purchase a digital file of them once you have ordered your paper goods. You will be sent a few file versions so you can put your design on a cup, napkin, bag, your pup's bandana, etc. We can't wait to see where you put your DCP designs! Need some company names of who can do all of this? Download our Bride Guide for more details, or email us @ dearcarolinepaper@gmail.com
